This electronically controlled viscous fan clutch is a replacement part for European construction equipment cooling systems, identified by OEM number 21671288 (VOE21671288). The aluminum alloy housing keeps the fan drive light and corrosion resistant, and the electronic control plug allows the fan speed to be regulated by the engine control unit according to coolant temperature, so the cooling fan only takes engine power when it is really needed.
The unit is assembled with a sealed viscous coupling, a machined hub surface and a factory fitted control connector. Each batch is checked for seal tightness, hub run out and clutch engagement before packing, and the bolt-on mounting allows the fan drive to be replaced without modifying the fan bracket.
21671288 is used on construction machinery and industrial engines. It is not the same part as 21772668 or 21270991, which belong to the FH / FM / FMX truck range.
